Allow us to tell you a little about the place and show you around.
The Butter Room is our imagined members’ club and home to a number of unusual characters.
We’re rather particular about a few things: art, interesting company, and the pleasure of a room thoughtfully put together.
You needn’t be on your best behavior. We’d much rather get to know you. You might stay longer than intended, find yourself in unexpected company, or in a love affair with a lamp. These things happen.
Behind the room is RichButter, a design studio founded by Butters, our proprietor. His interest in art, questionable company, and how a room should feel eventually became a collection of sculptural lighting.
As for the club, he maintains he simply couldn’t find one to his taste. Several membership committees remember it differently.
The Butter Room is furnished with pieces as distinctive as its members. You may find yourself becoming rather attached to one.
The lamps, we should mention, are available to take home. The members will have to be asked.
